So, yeah, this is my little music blog. I’m going to try and keep it simple; I’m no professional critic and admire those who can continuously come up with fresh ways of describing what a bass player does. Instead, I just mainly want to share some stuff I like and don’t like and invite you to do the same in the comments or via email. Hopefully, the blog will cover a broad spectrum of genres though admittedly I’m not much for modern country, hip-hop, or R&B. There are a million sites that focus specifically on new music. Don’t be surprised if this isn’t one of them. I can’t always keep up, unfortunately.
About the name: ideally, “holepuncher” should be a band. I mean, that’s a great name, right? At the very least, it’s better than Better than Ezra (say that five times fast). And yet after some minimal internet researching it appears no such band exists. If this should change or I’m wrong and you’re already in a band called “holepuncher” and are reading this, please send me an mp3 and I’ll feature it prominently. Obviously, you have good tastes. Congrats.

Hi there,
It’s me from the Metal Sludge site. I tend to have a butcher’s at the external sites other Sludgers have in their sigs. In case you’re curious, I did a quick myspace search to see if there are any bands called Holepuncher. There are, but they have an average of 2 fans. So I assume they didn’t last very long, and the name is still up for grabs.
However, there is also a band called the “Steel Gerbil of Thor” that has a song called Holepuncher. And they have a whopping 9 fans.
